Marion was born in Dublin, Ireland on December 26, 1915 and came to Canada in 1928 with her parents to rejoin her older brother Robert, who had moved to Canada three years previously. They sailed to Canada on board the "Montcalm" and the landing in Halifax was forever etched in her mind. Marion's early years in Canada were spent on their family farm south of Crystal City. In 1938 she married Kenneth Morrison and they moved to Warren, Manitoba where they jointly owned and operated a general store under the "Red and White" banner for 25 years. While living in Warren, Marion was a very active member of the local community and was a life time member of the Warren Ladies Curling Club, The Warren Women's Institute and the Canadian Red Cross. She was also actively involved in the life of the Warren United Church serving as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, on the Board of Stewards and she was also a lifetime member of the Warren United Church Women. A sports fan Marion competed in many Manitoba curling championship events and was always an avid spectator at baseball and hockey games. Following the sale of the family store Marion enjoyed many winters with her husband Kenneth in The Pine to Palm Resort located in Weslaco, Texas. There they pursued their interests in sports and social activities and made numerous life time friends. In 2001 Marion moved to Lion's Manor in Stonewall, Manitoba and enjoyed the social life and companionship afforded at that complex for 10 years. Marion's family was always the center of her Universe and she was very close to all her brothers and sisters as well as her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marion was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Albert Morrison, her grandson Kevin James Laird, son-in-law James Laird, her parents Robert and Harriet Lowe, her brothers Robert and Samuel Lowe, and her sister Kathleen Plant. Marion was proud of her Irish heritage and of particular delight to Marion was her return trips to Ireland on four different occasions with her son Edwin, granddaughter Brenda and her daughter Eleanor. She is survived by her daughters Eleanor Baldwin (Cam), Ina Laird, and son Edwin Morrison, three grandsons Cam, Kerry and Kenneth Baldwin, two granddaughters Brenda Einarson and Kathryn Baldwin, and 13 great-grandchildren Gord, Bryan, Cory, Carson, Amy, Natalie, Sarah and Lauren Baldwin, Hannah, Melonie and Magnus Einarson and Dallas and McKenzie Laird.
