Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES (JIM) THOMAS JICKLING It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Thomas Jickling with his loved ones by his side on April 8, 2014, at the age of 92, at Deer Lodge Centre. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his spouse Janie Jickling, children Robert Jickling (Brenda) and Donna Roussin; grandchildren Jacqueline Ataman (Rob), Christine Normand (Paul), Rebecca Roussin and Dustin Roussin; great-grandchildren Michael, Stevie, Brittany, Jessica and Dakota; sister Margaret Rice (Minneapolis, MN); nephews Paul, Phil and John Rice (Minneapolis, MN), and dear friend Cecile Vandal. He is predeceased by Amanda Jickling (granddaughter), Daniel Jickling (son), Nancy Jickling (daughter), Beatrice Jickling (mother), and Thomas Jickling (father). Jim bravely served his country in the Second World War before settling down to family life. He was a builder at heart and he loved the peace and tranquility of the wilderness, but nothing brought him more joy than to help his family, friends and loved ones. A private family service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Green Acres Funeral Home, #1 Hwy. East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB. A special thank you and deep gratitude to the caring staff at Deer Lodge Centre, Tower 6 for their loving care in his final years. Donations may be made in Jim's memory to Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3. I thought of my old friend and school bus colleague Nancy today and thought to google her and see what might be there. I found the notice if get Dad's passing.
