LAWRENCE TROMBO November 29, 1936 - April 14, 2014 After a life richly blessed and generously lived, and while surrounded by the company and love of family and friends, our beloved husband, father and grandfather Lawrence Trombo passed away peacefully on April 14, 2014, at the Beausejour Hospital, at the age of 77. Dad will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Alice; his daughter Bonnie (Jay) Stefansson and granddaughters Gena Rae and Kiara; his son Kevin (Melissa) and grandson Brett, and all his family and friends. Dad met and married the love of his life Alice, whom he has loved and been devoted to for nearly 50 years. They made their home and raised their family in Beausejour, Manitoba. His love, encouragement and commitment to his wife and family were unwavering. After formal schooling, Lawrence began his career as "Lawrence from Video", proud owner of Video T.V. & Appliances, where he provided solid and honest sales and service of television and appliances for 40 years in Beausejour and surrounding area. He was known by all as gentle, kind, humble, loyal and hardworking and there simply are not enough words to describe what a wonderful man he was. Prayers will be held on Thursday April 24, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Beausejour. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m., also at the church. If friends so desire, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V5. Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Lawrence was a wonderful man and caring person. It was a pleasure to get to know him as a landlord and then neighbour. He always took the time to help out when you needed something, most of all if you had questions about TV's or appliances. Take comfort in the memories and knowing others are sharing in your sorrow. - Posted by: Rhonda Cameron (Friend) on: May 11, 2014

  • Alice, our condolences to you and your family. I've know Lawrence for 60+ years. What a gentleman he always was. His soft voice, sincere and gentle manner we will always remember. Mr. Video as our kids referred to him was our TV and appliance provider until he closed up shop. As you and your family move forward, I'd like to share this quote that describes Lawrence as we saw him "THE MEASURE OF A MAN: Not - "how did he die" But - "how did he live" Not - "what did he gain" But - "what did he give" These are the units to measure the worth of a man, as a man." - Posted by: Don & Bonny Hutniak () on: Apr 22, 2014

  • Alice and Family, So sorry to hear about the passing of Lawrence. As you may know or not he was our best man at our wedding. Bruce worked with him in Lac du Bonnet and always enjoyed working with him. Lots of good memories. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family at this sad time.
