PATRICIA MADREAN STEVENS March 18, 1929 - April 19, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Pat. She was predeceased by the love of her life John in 2006. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Lee, Vicki, Linda (Randy), son Todd (Sheila), grandchildren Shelley (Scotty), Tannis (Matt), Tyler and Lyndsay, and great-grandson Laken. She also leaves to mourn the Lee family as well as many close friends. Mom held various jobs over the years ending her career working side by side with dad and Lee. Mom loved life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed many wonderful holidays abroad with dad and after his passing she continued to travel, including a recent trip to Ireland with her daughters. Her adventurous side led her to parasailing in Panama in 2013 and tubing at her favourite place, Redditt, Ontario. Mom and dad spent many summers in Redditt, where they eventually retired. They enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, quadding, swimming and spending time with family and friends. When it came to dancing and jiving mom and dad lit up the dance floor. The crib board was always out, right until the end, waiting for a challenger. She enjoyed reading and loved her bowling at Rossmere Lanes where she bowled for over 50 years. Mom was never one to refuse a dark rum and coke while visiting with friends and family. The Blue Bombers have lost their #1 fan. She was fortunate enough to be able to cheer her Bombers on in all three stadiums. Special thanks to her lifelong friends and travel companions, Gord and Ann, for always being there for mom. We also wish to thank Annette and the staff at Irene Baron Eden Centre for their wonderful care and compassion they showed mom over the past few months. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday evening, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Highway. Coffee, tea and dessert to follow.

  • Lee, Vicki, Linda & Todd It was with great sadness that I read of your Mom's death. I met your Mom & Dad many years ago (Your Dad gave me driving lessons when he worked for Joe Vine Driving School (ancient history). Met your Mom and we became friends. Ken got your folks into Chippawa Chiefs & PO's Mess where we had many good times. Your Mom and Dad were great people to be around, lots of laughter and great fun to be with. Keeping the family in my thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Anita Chapman & family (friends) on: Apr 23, 2014

  • Our condolences to Lee, Vicki, Linda, Todd and families from the family in PEI. We had the pleasure of a couple of visits from Pat and John over the years...always had so much fun, especially with John's brother Frank and wife Fran. Those 2 couples cared so much for each other and shared a lifetime of happy memories. They are all missed by those of us left behind but today we remember what a lovely lady Pat was. Take care of yourselves... You are in our prayers , Love Scott and Jo-Anne - Posted by: Scott Stevens, Jo- Anne and family (Nephew) on: Apr 22, 2014
