ERNA MUELLER Erna Mueller, beloved mother of Dieter Jung passed away peacefully at the Pinawa Hospital on Sunday, April 20, 2014. Erna was born in Kuty-Salesie, Poland June 22, 1924. Her family resettled to Germany during the war and she worked as a nurse in Berlin. Then later she lived in Werne, a small town near Dortmund. She immigrated to Canada in 1955 with her husband Erich Mueller and son Dieter to join the rest of her family in Winnipeg and lived for many years at 1025 Rosemount Ave in Fort Garry. For 30 years she worked at Princess Elizabeth hospital, now part of the Riverview. More recently as widow, she lived for 10 years at the Waverley in Winnipeg and for the last 3 years she resided at the Ironwood in Pinawa. She was predeceased by her husband Eric in 2000, as well as sister Herta and her brother Arthur. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Dieter Jung and his wife Dixie of Pinawa, Manitoba, and her sisters Adelgunde (Kurt) and sister Frieda. Also greatly missing her will be her grandchildren Dan (Tracy) and Lori (Brian) and her great grandchildren Cody, Riley, Madison, Brayden and Abby as well as a special friend Kristen. Funeral service will be held on Monday April 28 at 2:00 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road, with Pastor Bjoern Meinhardt officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects one half hour prior to service. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff and friends at the Ironwood supportive housing for their wonderful care and kindness to her and also to the staff at the Pinawa Hospital. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
