Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY SMERECHYNSKI (nee ZAHARA) January 29, 1928 - April 22, 2014 It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of a very beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She passed away with her family by her side at Seven Oaks General Hospital early Tuesday morning. Left to cherish her memory are her soul mate and husband, Nick; children: daughter Lana (Mark), and sons Don (Dale), Malloy, and John (Dawnna), as well as grandchildren, Robert and Courtney her pride and joy, sister Lena, with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents John and Maria Zahara, son baby William, daughter-in-law Linda, brothers Malloy, William, Nick, Jack, George, and sister Sadie. Prayers for Mary will be held in Winnipeg on Sunday, April 27 at 3:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home located on the #1 Highway East at Navin Road. The funeral service will be held in Hadashville, MB at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 28 at Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Ascension located on Highway 11, just off Trans-Canada Highway #1. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Parkinson Society of Manitoba. The dearest kindest lady ever. It has been my great fortune to have known since my teenage years. It was a pleasure to be one of her home care workers.
