Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVANGELOS (ANGELO) GIANNAKOULIS September 13, 1934 - April 24, 2014 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Evangelos (Angelo) Giannakoulis, beloved husband to Voula for 41 years, caring father to Nick and his wife Gabriela living in Ottawa, and devoted grandfather (papou) to Angelo and Angelica. Angelo came to Canada in July 1966, from Karia, Argos, Peloponnese, Greece. He worked very hard as a furniture maker and carpenter, helping friends to renovate their homes, and he was always there to give a helping hand to everyone who knew him. He is going to be missed by his brothers and sisters in Greece, cousins in Winnipeg, and family and friends in Ottawa and Winnipeg. The family would like to thank the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, for the wonderful support and care of our dear Angelo; and also our friends and neighbours for helping us during this time of sadness. Prayers will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy on Sunday, April 27 at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will take place Monday, April 28 at 11:00 am at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Avenue with interment to follow at St. Mary's Polish Catholic Cemetery, 400 McIvor Avenue. Rev. Fr. Theodore Paraskevopoulos officiating. "Even, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
