Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES LESLIE MAY 1930 - 2014 It is with deep regret we announce the passing of James Leslie May on Monday, April 28, 2014 at the age of 83 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. James will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Ethel, his children Rick (Ann) and Kim (Glen), grandchildren Skye (Joseph), Indi, and James. Also left to remember are his brothers Ron and Albert, sisters Rose and Elenor, and a large extended family. James was predeceased by his father Ernest Richard, his mother Elizabeth Marie (nee Ahoff), his sister Irene, and daughter-in-law Charlene. James was born and raised in Winnipeg, worked most of his career for C.N.R., and devoted his life to his family. He was an avid bowler, and was the only member of his group to join the 1001 Club. James loved to fish, and loved to travel. James' Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Road, with Celebrant Vince Anderson officiating. The family would like to extend many thanks to all of the second floor staff at Heritage Lodge for their caring support extended to James. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests a donation be made in James' honour to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
