MIROSLAW (MARIO) STEFAN SZWED It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Miroslaw Stefan Szwed on May 18, 2014. MIroslaw was born on August 12, 1962 in Poland and came to Canada on June 24, 1964 with his adopted parents, Waclaw and Stefania Szwed. Miroslaw leaves to mourn his mothers, Stefania Szwed and Pawlina Skoczypiec; son Sebastian (Tanya, Brodie); Grazyna Andrzejewska; sister-in-law Janina; nephews, Alexander and Christopher; niece, Christina; Uncle Roman and Aunt Janina and family; brothers in Poland, Roman, Adam and Bogdan Skoczypiec and their families; cousin, Andrzej Pawlowicz and family. Miroslaw is predeceased by his father Waclaw Szwed; brothers, Walter and Janusz Skoczypiec, father, Pawel Skoczypiec. Prayers will be said 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 26, 2014 at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Donations in Miroslaw's memory may be made to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba, 1031 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 0R8.   • I knew Miroslaw as a friend and a previous landlord. He was always willing to help a friend, and others who were in need. He was a happy person who told it the way is was and his dealings with me were always forthright and honest. My condolences to the family, I am sure he will be missed.
