Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH CLARENCE ALECK October 22, 1929 - May 21, 2014 With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our most adored husband, father, grandfather and the gentlest, kind-hearted man. He was the best role model for all family members to follow. Joe had a heart of gold and loved everyone. His personality and humour will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his wife Mary, son Wayne (Susan), daughter Cynthia and two grandchildren Meghan and Matthew. Joe retired from the Federal Government after 35 years of service. Joe loved his sports, taking long walks, trips, Casino's and socializing with friends. He passed peacefully during prayers and the recital of the "Lord's Prayer"- (special thanks to HSC spiritual care person, Doug). Joe was a long time parishioner of St. Edwards Church and a lifetime believer. Please remember Joe for his compassion and gentle soul. The family would like to thank the Health Science Centre staff for their care and support. Donations can be made in Joe's name to a charity of your choice. A private ceremony to honour Joe will be with immediate family. "God Bless Joe" Bardal Funeral Home & Crematorium 204-774-7474 Condolences: www.bardal.ca

It is one week to-the-day, Dad. We sit here thinking fondly of you and how much we will miss you! No words can say everything we feel... But we will light a candle on your day, at 9:35 with a moment of silence. We love you. - Posted by: Wayne & Susan Aleck (Son and daughter-in-law) on: May 28, 2014

Joe was a warm hearted person and always took the time to visit with us when we would come to see my Grandma Lil at Sandy Hook. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mary, Cindy and Wayne and his family. - Posted by: Brian, Patricia and Kyle Shandruk (Patricia's Cousin) on: May 24, 2014

Joe was part of the family before I was. He was always the guy I remember hated mosquitos on the farm... the guy with a sense of humour and a sports lover... not to mention his family. I can still hear him say.. "right dearie"... his famous line!!!! You will be missed, but just for awhile. RIP Joe. - Posted by: JOSIE & MAURICE D. (sister) on: May 23, 2014
