BELLA SLOTA (nee SHUPARSKY) January 29, 1920 - May 19, 2014 Peacefully at West Park Manor, Bella passed away at age 94. Bella was born and raised in Wroxton, SK and lived her later years in Dyment, ON, Rennie, MB and Winnipeg, MB. She worked in the meat packing industry most of her life. She is survived by son William (Diane) Wickstrom; daughter Catherine (Bill) Boila; granddaughters Tracy Sillen (Garry Thorsteinson), Melissa (Ben) Kardash, Vanessa Boila as well as great-granddaughters Chelsi Thorsteinson and Holley Kardash. She is also survived by brother Nick (Herta) Shuparsky and sister Doris Karchut of Stony Creek, ON. Bella was predeceased by her infant son Harold; first husband Ernest Wickstrom; second husband John Slota; sisters Mary and Rose; brothers Bill, John, and Alex as well as great-granddaughter Cheyenne Thorsteinson. Family and friends were most important to Bella as she always placed them before herself. Family would like to express heartfelt thanks to West Park Manor staff for their excellent care and compassion extended to our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bella may be made to West Park Manor, 3199 Grant Avenue, or to a charity of one's choice. In accordance with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service 10:00 a.m. July 9, 2014 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery Dyment, Ontario, beside infant son Harold at a later date.
