GLADYS INNES (nee LAWRIE) September 14, 1918 - April 25, 2014 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Neil and son Bob. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Judy Starr (Ray), daughter-in-law Heather Innes, grandsons Blair Pickup and Marcus Starr, granddaughters Erin Maxwell (Byron), Stacey Innes (Jim) and Jodi Innes, great-granddaughters Hilary Pickup, Sydney and Emma Maxwell, Samantha and Lauren Wenzel, along with many nieces and nephews. Mom was born and spent her early years in Morris, Manitoba. Her family moved to Winnipeg when she was in high school. She later met and married the love of her life Neil Innes in Winnipeg where they had two children, Judy and Bob. Her family was her life and she was always there for us. Mom also loved curling. She won many trophies and titles over the years, including a car and capped it off by representing Manitoba in the first ever Senior Ladies Canadian Championship in 1973. Fishing was another favourite sport and she was very proud of her Master Angler certificate. In the last couple of years she enjoyed trips to the lake with Stacey and Jodi where they spent many happy hours on the water. A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to a charity of your choice.
