THERESIA HAHN August 30, 1946 June 10, 2014 In Memory of It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Theresia at home surrounded by family. She is predeceased by her parents Theresia and Ferdinand Petti of Austria and her brother Wilhelm Petti of Winnipeg. Theresia is survived by her loving husband Erich of 49 years and her three daughters Caroline Ransome (Scott), Susan Kuseler (Wade), and Marian Box (Bryan). She was a loving Grandma to Allison, Calder, Shane, Megan and Tyler, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her brother Stefan and her sister Annika and other family and friends in Austria. She was born in Schachendorf, Austria and married the love of her life, Erich, in 1965. Theresia and Erich moved to Winnipeg, MB, Canada in 1965 when she was 19 years old. She lived with her husband in Winnipeg for a short time before moving to Lac du Bonnet, MB where she had three children. She spent the remainder of her life raising a family, working as a talented seamstress and being an involved member of the community. She was very proud of her yard and her home and worked tirelessly to keep it perfect. Her door was always open for tea and a listening ear for friends and family. She was nurturing and caring and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Mom, we will miss your laughter, your wisdom, your support, and most of all your love. Your light will shine down upon us from Heaven and embrace us in its warmth and everlasting love. We miss you so much. The family would like to thank the staff of CancerCare Manitoba and the Pinawa Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. M. Bruneau who was compassionate and gave her the best care possible. Erich and the girls would like to thank Theresia's friends in the Lac du Bonnet area who supported her during this difficult time and continue to support the family. A Prayer service will be held Monday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Notre Dame du Lac Parish in Lac du Bonnet. • It was always a joy to bump in to Terri whether in the store or on the street. Her commitment to her family was so evident in all she said & did. Her sewing skills were second to none, with or without a pattern. We, in the community will grieve her loss but the family will feel her absence & love from this day forward. • Missing our dear friend and treasured seamstress is an understatement. Will miss our lunch hours spent together, our shared giggles and will miss hearing all her family/grandchildren stories. We were all lucky to have known her; better people because of knowing her. Cannot think of anyone else who worked as hard and loved as hard as she did. God hit the Jackpot when he took her away from us. - Posted by: Mariette Meilleur-Evans (Friend and Client) on: Jun 17, 2014
