HELEN BIALEK (nee DANKIEWICZ) It is with deep sorrow, we announce that after a lengthy battle with C.O.P.D., Helen Bialek passed away into the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour at her Delhi residence on Friday, June 13, 2014 in her 80th year. Beloved wife to Thomas Bialek for 56 years. Loving Mother to son Gary Bialek (Winnipeg), daughter Gail Rowe (Delhi) and her precious grandson Bradley, (Delhi). Helen is survived by one brother, Adolphe Dankewich, sisters-in-law, Lucille Dankewich, Marjorie Dankewich as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was born in Allegra, MB lived on the family farm in Beausejour and later settled in Winnipeg. Helen loved the farm. She enjoyed sharing stories about farm life and talking to the animals, where she felt so connected to. Helen was a stay at home Mom until the children were older and then worked in the sewing industry for several years while also working within her community helping local children and their families for many years. Helen loved and cherished her family. In 2005 Helen and Thomas moved to Delhi, ON to be near their daughter Gail and only grandson Bradley. Helen was a generous giver and a true believer. She loved the Word of God and the Gospels of Jesus. Helen taught Sunday school and Home Bible teachings for many years with her friend Maria. For over a decade, Helen fed and welcomed many missionaries into the family home. She would say, "Always be kind, one never knows when Jesus will come to the door as He may come in many forms." Predeceased by her brothers, Mike Dankewich (2008), Steve Dankewich (2014), Eugene Dankewich (2002), stepbrother John Kavitch (1989) and sister-in-law Marion Dankewich (2013). Much love and deepest gratitude to our family and friends who supported us throughout the years and especially during the later stages of Mom's illness. A special thank you to Dr. Bradley Bobby for his conscientious and compassionate care. As per Helen's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. Family and friends may call if they wish to arrange a visit to see the family. Donations in memory of Helen can be made to Camp Trillium/Rainbow Lake at MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, DELHI (519) 582-1290. Helen's prayer is that all who knew her will not be overcome with sorrow but look forward to a reunion in Heaven.
