Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON NELSON June 28, 1930 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father on June 17, 2014, at Riverview Hospital at the age of 83. Gordon was predeceased by the love of his life Diane in 2002, his mother Mary and father Martin. Left to mourn his passing are his son Wayne (Sherry), daughters Jo-Ann and Judy, several grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Gordon was born in Winnipeg, MB, he married Diane in 1956. Gordon began working with Building Products, where he spent more than 30 years, as well as assisting his wife Diane with a canteen business. After leaving Building Products he began working with Diane running the business up until they retired in 2000. Gordon enjoyed going out with Wayne and Sherry to the local legion, he also enjoyed his shopping outings with his daughter Jo-Ann. He looked forward to his Saturday drives to Lockport with his friend Paul. Gordon will be missed by family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Highway.

So sorry, I just was told about Gordon's passing today, 1 week too late. Gordie was a really nice man. Always so friendly and loved to be around people, you could just tell. Diane has been waiting quite a while for him but now they're happy together again!
