Date of Passing: Jun 19, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA SALTEL (nee TUCK) Pat Saltel (nee Tuck) passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre on June 19, 2014 at the age of 70. Pat will be lovingly remembered by her children, Maurice Saltel Jr., Ray Saltel (Ellen), Debbie Isaak, Judy Olson (John) and Lauraine Berard (Rod); grandchildren, Danielle, Candice, Karley, Dale, Christina, Maurice III, Andrew, Shawnee, Sarah, Eric, Jayson, Jillian, Brandon; Great-grandchildren, Tristan, Casey, Mason, and Valerie. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice after 34 years of marriage. Pat and Maurice raised their family in St. Boniface and she could always be seen with a child in her arms, whether it was her children, her grandchildren, or her great-grandchildren. There was a never ending supply of love. In her final moments her love was returned by her whole family around her. She was a stubborn and determined person. Whether it meant calling an electrician from the competition for house repairs or surprising her husband by tearing down walls in the house. Service will be held Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Green Acres. Pat's family thanks the staff at Riverview Health Centre for the continuing and outstanding support and care of our mother. We would like to acknowledge her friend and companion Bryan along with her close friends from the Dawson Trails Apartments and her many life-long friends for their good times and all their help and support. Auntie Pat, I was so blessed to have both you and Uncle Moe in my life. It's too bad we have 2 provinces between us as I never got to see you as much I would have liked. You and Uncle were Leon's godparents and it's too bad you never got to meet Leon's son Cyrus. We heard many stories growing up about you, Uncle Gord and my dad on how close you were when my parents lived in Winnipeg. I had a great time with you when I came down in January. I'm sure glad we had that time together and boy did we talk. I will cherish all my memories Auntie especially the ones of you and I sneaking away to go to bingo and to gamble. I'm so sorry I can't be there tomorrow, I love and will miss you so. To all my cousins and your families I'm sorry for your loss and wish you all the best. I have not seen Pat in years, but I feel we made a lot of great memories that I will cherish. The one thing that I will always remember is her love for family and friends. It was always great times spent in her kitchen (not always coffee lol) and the great chats. Gordon Lightfoot, Westhawk beach and blackberry wine will always bring a smile to my face. Darrell and I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Saltels and the Tucks. She will be missed xo. Cathy and Darrell Rose - Posted by: Cathy Rose (Friend) on: Jun 23, 2014

Can't even begin to express how wonderful of a lady Aunty Pat was, she was the family babysitter for many of us. She looked after my kids at the drop of a hat when needed, was always giving love to all her extended family, and man did she have energy like no other. She will always be in my heart, ox to my Aunty Pat, thanks for all the love and support you gave me over the years. I will miss you sooooooo much. - Posted by: krista demontigny (great neice) on: Jun 22, 2014
