DOROTHY LAKE Peacefully, surrounded by family members, Dorothy Lake slipped away into eternal rest on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Park Manor Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. Dorothy was born January 21, 1928 in Saskatchewan. She met and married William Lake and they moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. They had seven children. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends. She was a great cook and we all enjoyed the fruits of her labour. We also delighted in her quick wit. She took pleasure in various crafts including knitting, sewing or playing the clarinet or accordion. She enjoyed going to Bingo. She was a woman who listened to anyone who needed an ear. She is survived by her children Jack (Elfriede), Ann Vasas, William Jr. (Sandra), Linda, Ken (Delvina), Joseph (Karen), Shirley Boulette (Todd), many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. As per Dorothy's request there will be no formal funeral service. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank all the staff at Park Manor for the outstanding and compassionate care that was provided. Her final one liner would have been, "Dorothy has left the building".
