ELLEN HOFFMAN Peacefully, on Friday, June 27, 2014, Ellen Hoffman slipped into her eternal home, just a few weeks after her 94th birthday. She was predeceased by husband Jack, son and grandson. Left to mourn are children, Sharon (Martin), Carolyn (John), Darryl; grandchildren, Wesley, Jeffrey, Corey, Jamie, Kathryn, Carolyn, Cindi, Teresa and Alexia; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ellen was born in Frontier, SK, and later moved to northern Saskatchewan with her family where she met her husband Jack. In 1957 Jack, Ellen and family moved to Winnipeg. Ellen had a zest for life. In her younger years she loved to curl, and her favourite pastime was watching her Bombers and Jets on TV. She attended Calvary Temple where she enjoyed the choir, ladies ministries and her many friends. In 2004 she moved to Donwood Manor. She was blessed to have made many friends at the home. Special thanks to all the staff who were so caring and kind. A celebration of life will be held in the auditorium at Donwood Manor, 171 Donwood Drive, North Kildonan on Friday, July 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Donwood Manor, 171 Donwood Drive.

I have not been back to work since Friday 27 June, but I heard today at church (Calvary Temple) that Miss Ellen had passed. My sympathy and prayers go out to all of you. Miss Ellen was a wonderful individual and her Christ like manner shone through, one could not help but love her. I will miss her, but her spirit will continue through her loved ones, she has left you all with a wonderful legacy. She is at peace with God.
