Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESA ENNS June 6, 1922 - Melitopol, Ukraine July 7, 2014 - Winnipeg, Manitoba Theresa Enns passed away peacefully on July 7, 2014. Theresa was born on June 6, 1922 in Melitopol, Ukraine to Susanna and Johann Wall. She was the second child of nine. Only three survived; six died in infancy. In 1925, her parents and Theresa emigrated from Ukraine to Quebec, Canada and travelled by train to Graysville, Manitoba. After two years on a farm, Theresa's father got a job as a grain buyer in West Bend, Saskatchewan. Theresa also lived in the villages of Foam Lake, Bank End, and Mennon, Saskatchewan. Theresa was raised in a Christian and loving home, was baptized on June 16, 1940 by Elder David Toews in the Zoar Mennonite Church in Langham, Saskatchewan. Theresa was given the verse in Colossians 2:6, 7: "As you have received Christ the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving." Theresa got the attention of Victor Enns on an earlier visit to Ste. Elizabeth, Manitoba. Theresa and Victor Enns were married on June 28, 1940 by Reverend J. Nickel in Zoar Mennonite Church in Langham, Saskatchewan and remained together for 60 years. After their marriage, they farmed at Ste. Elizabeth, Manitoba and were blessed with four children. Besides the numerous responsibilities Theresa had as a mother, she helped Victor with farming, volunteered with church groups and at the Morris Lodge. Theresa was a gentle, loving woman who was devoted to her husband and children. Theresa's caring personality also extended beyond her own family, as she knew how to make anyone feel appreciated and valued. Theresa will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Theresa is survived by her children: Elfrieda (Neil), Charlotte (Udo), Hilda (Ed), John (Lyn), and her sister, Hilda Fransen. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: David, Darryl (Teji), Rolf (Debbie), Kurt (Lynn), Brad (Joelle), Erik, and Robyn; four great-grandchildren: Cassandra, Matthias, Sean, and Andrew, and numerous nephews and nieces. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Victor in 2000, and her brother John Wall. A private family burial will be held at Hespler Cemetery at Niverville on July 12, 2014. A memorial service will be held at Niverville Community Fellowship Church, 116 - 3rd Avenue S., Niverville, Manitoba on July 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. If family and friends so desire, memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Bethal Place, 445 Stafford Street, Winnipeg, MB R3M 3V9, or a charity of your choice.
