RALPH FREDERICK SAVOY
Date of Passing: Jul 11, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRALPH FREDERICK SAVOY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph Frederick Savoy on Friday, July 11, 2014 at Beausejour Hospital, at the age of 72 years. Ralph was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on May 6, 1942 and lived there until he joined the R.C.A.F., which took him out west to Manitoba. There he met and married his wife Christine. They moved back and forth several times between New Brunswick and Manitoba having three boys and finally settling in Manitoba in 1978 to spend the rest of his years. He was a certified machinist and mechanic putting his skills to good use for Canada Post and in later years as the owner of Faloma Beach Marina. After retiring from the marina he relocated to Whitemouth, Manitoba where he spent the remainder of his time with us. Ralph will be sadly missed by his wife Christine, of 49 years, his sons, Stuart (Janine), Scott (Sytske), and Sandy (Kathleen), his grandchildren, Deric, Alex, Rachel, Monica, and Kyla, his brother Joe Savoy (Dorothy), sister-in-law Jennifer Sinclair (Jim), his nieces and nephew David, Lucy, Janet, Heather, and Karen, and his beloved dog Major. Ralph was predeceased by his parents Frank and Lucy. The family would like to thank all the staff at Beausejour Hospital for their support and particularly Dr. Van Rensburg whose care and smile meant so much to us, as well as Bonnie and Scott for all their kindness and compassion. A special thank you to Roy, whose friendship and support means so much to us. A service will be held at Sobering Funeral Chapel in Beausejour, Park Avenue East on Sunday, July 20 at 1:00 p.m. with a private interment for the family at a later date. Ralph was a caring and supportive man who always wanted to help others; as such he would want, in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Lions Foundation, the Beausejour Hospital Television Fund or the Winnipeg Humane Society. It has been many years that we lost touch. I lost Walter in 2016 and Wayne in 2008. I'm sorry for your loss. Wasn't sure if I had the right person until I saw Stuart and Scott's name. If you would like to get in touch, I am at the same address 127 Queen St. West. Saint John E2M 2C5 - Posted by: yvette tobin (Old friend) on: Sep 13, 2019

It has been too many years since we have connected, but we will always remember his kind nature and his willingness to be anywhere or do anything if it was needed. Christine--our group is so very sad to hear of Ralph's passing. He is gone but certainly not forgotten. Please accept our deepest sympathy and condolences. We were very much "fair weather friends," knowing Ralph only from our summer fishing trips at the marina, but even though our time with him was brief, it was obvious that under his gruff exterior, his heart was as big as Canada. His goodness and character left the world a better place and I am sure he is in an even better place now. With sympathy, Reid Senter - Posted by: Reid Senter (customer / friend) on: Jul 18, 2014

Dear Christine and family - My heart goes out to you in sympathy. Even though Ralph had not been well for some time, the pain we feel when we lose our loved ones is not diminished. May the memories you shared bring comfort and may the care and concern from those around you give strength for the coming days. - Posted by: Corene Antle (Friend of Christine) on: Jul 17, 2014
