Condolences & Memories (15 entries)

  • Mme. Vivianne, I was six years old the first time you read a book to my class. I was six years old when you began to shape my love of reading. There are just some people in this lifetime that you don't forget, and your first ever librarian is one of them. When I saw "Library" or "Biblio" on the time table for that day I was always excited and that is thanks to you. You will be missed dearly and fiercely. Always, Spencer Lowes. - Posted by: Spencer Lowes (Former student at SNI) on: Jul 23, 2014

  • Mom, you were my inspiration, the measuring stick to which I will endeavour to be a great father and confidant for my children. You showed and taught love, compassion, understanding, trust and patience. You are and will always be my hero. I know in years to come my children and their memories of Grandma will continue to guide them and your love will be a beacon of hope and dreams. As a mother there was no one better! I only hope that one day I can get close to the parent you were! You are missed, and you are loved. God Bless you! We look forward to seeing you in our dreams! Love you always.... Till we meet again. - Posted by: Brad Van de Mosselaer (Son) on: Jul 20, 2014

  • Fifi (as Opa would say)....you were a lovely, caring, young woman when you first met our family and you continued to be the same throughout the next 40 plus years....your were so much a part of our family and always ready to "jump right in there". You are truly missed and my only wishes for you are that you have found a pain free happiness and that you have reunited with those family and friends gone before you! Love you, Fifi, and I feel so fortunate to have spent time with you before you all too suddenly left us! Rest in peach sister in a hammock with a great glass of wine! - Posted by: Helma Van de Mosselaer (sister-in-law) on: Jul 18, 2014

  • Viv - You were great! When we worked together, not a day went by without a story or a good word for someone on staff. You were one of the great ones at SNI and all knew it. The children you touched by your stories will forever be grateful. Rest in peace and heaven is great now that it has a new angel. To Ziggy, Brad and Kelly my sincere condolence. - Posted by: Thérèse Dorge (friend and co-worker) on: Jul 18, 2014

  • Mme. Vivianne was an incredible woman. She always had a smile on her face and was ready to recommend a good book. She was the person I went to if I had a sliver I couldn't get out, or if I needed to know something really fast! She was the one who told me to read "Are You There God, It's Me Margaret" and the one who first introduced me to books about history. Her presence will be missed here on this Earth as well as her infectious laugh. Je t'aime toujours. - Posted by: Emily Lowes (Student) on: Jul 18, 2014

  • Mme. Viviane. Two words you couldn't say enough growing up in your library at SNI. You were the best sounding board, you didn't put up with anyone's crap, you were honest to a fault and we all loved you for it. Remembering all the times you made is put the library cards back in our class drawer to the complaints of the new computer system, you always knew where my favorite book was and my love for reading started with you. I'll never forget it. My condolences to your family. - Posted by: Amita Khandpur (formet student) on: Jul 18, 2014

  • I worked with Viv at St. Norbert Immersion. Viv was such a dedicated hard working woman. She always put 110% in all she did. She was not just a co-worker she was also a very good friend. We shared many stories over many glasses of wine. She was always so happy and excited when it was time to set up camp at Falcon Lake. I met Bucky (her pet deer) when me and another friend went to spend the day with Viv in Falcon Lake. Rest in Paradise Viv and may you dance with the Angels. My sincere sympathies to Ziggy and the family. - Posted by: Priscilla Huberdeau (Friend) on: Jul 17, 2014

All I can say of you is that you are a genuine Good person: You had joy, peace, love, laughter, hope, kindness and truth. God Bless you my angel. - Posted by: Murielle Sabourin (friend) on: Jul 17, 2014

  • I can honestly say this woman saved my life. We became friends after a tragedy in my life and she took me under her wing and kept me sane! We have shared a lot over the years and I am so glad we did it together! She was so proud of her boys and then later her grandchildren. She was a valued employee and loved what she did. I will treasure the memory our last dinner together in October. You will be missed so much. Hope you are dancing in heaven!! - Posted by: Lorna Brewer (friend) on: Jul 16, 2014
