PAUL REKRUT Paul Rekrut, age 90, of Steinbach, formerly of Sarto, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach. He was born on September 26, 1923 in Pansy, Manitoba. Paul is survived by his wife Tillie and his sisters Lena, Jean and Irene. He was predeceased by: his parents Jacob and Pauline Rekrut, his daughter Debra, brothers Peter and Bill, and his sister Nadia. In keeping with Paul's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Ash interment will take place at a later date. A heartfelt thanks to all the nurses, doctors and staff at the Rest Haven Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: the enVision Foundation or to CancerCare Manitoba.
