LLOYD HAROLD KELLETT November 1, 1939 - July 19, 2014 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father and papa, Lloyd Harold Kellett. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Johanna, sons Vern (Patty, daughter Sara), Brent, Boyd (Celia, daughters Kailey and Avery), sisters Fern (Hugh) McPherson, Phyllis (Francis) Dyck, Sandra (Vic) Kasprick and their families. He was predeceased by his parents John and Sarah Kellett. Lloyd spent much of his working life with Manitoba Telephone Systems as a lineman and cable splicer. There are few towns in Manitoba he had not visited during some point in his career. His interests and hobbies ranged from fastball, curling and hunting to fishing and camping at Nutimik in later years. Dad enjoyed all his sons' sports interests. The rough edges of Dad's personality were smoothed over with the arrival of his three granddaughters. He loved spending time with them at home and at the lake. We want to thank all the staff in D2 at Riverview Health Centre for their care and support, especially Ashley and Susan, who helped us through those difficult last days. A celebration of our Dad's life will take place Wednesday, July 23 at Harrow United Church, 955 Mulvey Ave., Winnipeg, starting at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lloyd's memory to either the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, or Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4. • He was a good guy. He was one of the first guys I worked with. I still live in Morden and I remember the first time I met him. I knew all the Mts people in Morden but not this Kellett guy. Well when he walked into the office I knew I was going to have to be on my toes. Anyway he was a good friend and taught me alot of what I know - Posted by: Charlie Hildebrand (Friend and Co worker) on: Jul 22, 2014

  • I express my most heartfelt condolences to the whole Kellett Family and Lloyd's wonderful wife Johanna. I am glad to have gotten to know Lloyd and his amazing family. He was always smiling and joking and was a sweet man......his eyes twinkled whenever his granddaughters were in the room or if their names ever entered the conversation. He was always so happy when Jo was around or any one of his 3 wonderful sons or daughters-in-law! He will be very sadly missed. • What to say, what to say. I focus on his laugh as he had the greatest laugh. I will miss him but know that this was not how he deserved to live out his life so I am glad he is at peace and his struggle is over. We all have so many wonderful memories to keep us warm through the years. Love to you all and so sorry I won't be at the service on Wednesday. - Posted by: Valdine Wheeler (Niece) on: Jul 22, 2014
