Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSLYN GOULD May 31, 1935 - July 5, 2014 Roslyn Gould, beloved wife, mother, nana, and aunty, passed away on July 5, 2014 after a courageous nine month struggle with cancer. Roz was born in Ottawa to Edith and Archie Pleet. Predeceased by her husband Norman in 2011, she will be remembered with love by her children Michael (Carolyn), Joel, and Sharon (Michael Libby), her grandchildren Sarah, Steven, Brian and Eric Gould, and Aaron and Emily Libby. She was predeceased by her brother Larry, and will be missed by her brother Morton Pleet (Sylvia), her many nieces, nephews and cousins, and her amazing friends. Roz grew up in Ottawa and studied nursing. She worked as a nurse in Montreal and Toronto until she met Norman. They married and spent the next 50 years in Winnipeg where she raised their three children. Roz enjoyed cooking for her family and friends (who loved her food) and spent countless hours volunteering her time to worthy causes and giving to charity. When her children were in their teens, she went back to school to requalify for her RN designation. Roz was an avid golfer and although she only took up the game later in life, she was still able to achieve a hole-in-one four times. She was a proud Life Master at bridge. Roslyn and Norman loved to travel and often spent the winter in California where they enjoyed visiting with their children, grandchildren, and many friends. In 2010, they moved to British Columbia to be closer to their children, and Roz cherished the opportunity to spend time with family. She continued to travel after her move, and most recently enjoyed an Alaskan cruise with her family. We loved her no-nonsense approach and she will be missed by all of those whose lives she touched. Funeral services were held on July 8, 2014 at Temple Sholom Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Roslyn Gould Women's Endowment Fund (through the Jewish Federation of Manitoba) or the charity of your choice.
