KATHRYN ANN DEL BEL It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn Ann Del Bel (nee Tomlinson) on July 22, 2014 following a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving family: her husband Bruno, and three daughters, Amy of Winnipeg, and Cheryl and Lisa who reside in Thailand, as well as siblings Jack Tomlinson of Wainfleet, Ontario and Shirlee Viljoen of Kanata, Ontario. After retirement, Kathy and Bruno traveled extensively in Asia and Europe, and were half-year residents of Hua Hin Thailand, where they enjoyed golfing, exploring the Thai countryside and seaside living. They also enjoyed their summers in Winnipeg with many golfing friends and taking in the local summer festivals and activities. Kathy possessed a boundless zest for life and a piercing wit. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her for her generous and loving nature. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Kathy's life will be held at the Cremation Gardens of St. Vital Cemetery on Friday July 25, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Cancer Care Manitoba would be greatly appreciated. I was so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. Spending time with your family was some of my most treasured high school memories back at old CECI . I would love to reconnect with the girls. Just read about the loss of your beloved wife. Bruno, we have not been in touch recently but remember so vividly Kathy's warm personality, sparkling eyes and beautiful face, may you take comfort in knowing what a wonderful woman she was. Your house was always the hub of activity for so many especially for Amy and Melissa who were inseparable at the time and have recently reacquainted via social media.
