Date of Passing: Jul 21, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD (ED) SCHOEN March 17, 1930 - July 21, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ed Schoen at River East Care Home, Winnipeg on July 21, 2014. Ed will be fondly remembered and cherished by his loving wife of 62 years Elsie, his sons Michael and Randy, his brothers Walter and Thomas, his sister Hilda, sister-in-law Joanne, and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Ed is predeceased by his father Joseph and mother Rose, brothers Anthony, Andrew, Paul, Ernest (Wayne), and sisters Anna, Hetty, and Susan. Ed was a very caring and giving person, who was loved and admired by everyone who met him. He spent most of his working life in the army, (2RCHA, April 1943 - November 1973), and finished his career with the River East School Division as the purchasing agent. We would gratefully like to acknowledge the staff of River East Care Home, who's exceptionally high quality of caring and attentiveness helped put our concerns to rest. As per Ed's wish, cremation has already taken place, and no services will be performed. There really are not enough words of admiration and appreciation to describe the loving husband and father, and caring and sharing man that Ed was, and he will forever be remembered by everyone.
