NETA (AGNES) FRIESEN Agnes Kliewer Friesen, at the age of 92, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord, on Thursday, July 24, 2014. Agnes was born on November 7, 1921 to Cornelius and Anna Kliewer and was raised on the Kliewer family farm, four miles east of Otterburne, Manitoba. This was her home until she married Peter G. S. Friesen on July 18, 1943. Together they farmed for many years, just a few miles south of Niverville. Agnes and Pete were baptized on their faith on June 13, 1943 and joined the Niverville Chortitzer Church at that time. Agnes was predeceased by her parents in 1941 and 1942 respectively, by her husband Pete in 1984, and by her eight brothers and three sisters. Left to mourn are: her two sisters-in-law: Lydia (Allan) and Marian (Albert), and many nieces, nephews and friends. Agnes, when you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. We believe that you have lived in such a way that when you died, the world cried and you rejoiced. The funeral service for Agnes Friesen will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 5:30 p.m., with viewing from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach, Manitoba.
