Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLORIA YVONNE MARIE SABOURIN (nee JOHNSON) Peacefully, following a brief illness it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the age of 85 years, with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Roland Sabourin. She will be lovingly remembered by her five daughters, Denise Thomasson (Doug), Yvonne Haywood (Eric), Louise Sabourin-Gutierrez (Luis), Monique Shidel (Harry), Nicole Sabourin-Friesen (Randy) and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her many relatives and lifelong friends. Gloria was born in St. Boniface on March 24, 1929, where she grew up and ultimately met the love of her life Roland. She shared her love of music, art and playing card games with her daughters and friends. She enjoyed participating in the activities offered at Seine River Retirement Home, particularly the Bridge and Crib Clubs. The invention of PVR was her best friend, and she never missed a day of Young & the Restless or Dr. OZ. The family would like to thank nurse Carol from Seine River, and the nurses and staff from St. Boniface I.C.U. for the care and compassion they showed for our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family would like to invite you to share in their celebration of Gloria's life on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road, interment and reception to follow. Dear Denise, Yvonne, Louise, Monique, Nicole and Families It was with deep sorrow that I heard the news of Aunt Gloria's passing. I'll always remember her welcoming smile. It's not easy losing both parents but just knowing that she is back with the love of her life makes the loss easier to take. My health has not been good for several years and I was unable to get a health care escort so please excuse my absence. I truly wish that I was able to attend however my heart and thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time.
