Aunt Helen quilted the first quilt I pieced together for my daughter. She did such a careful job, such tidy stiches. She wouldn't accept proper payment from me - the small amount she did accept, she donated to MCC. I will always remember her for her gentle nature and her loving smile. I will remember her for her hospitality and for the very funny, warm hearted, sincere sons that she raised. I am sad not to be able to attend her funeral. I will be there with my heart. - Posted by: Tammie Bowman (niece) on: Aug 21, 2014

Helen was like a mother to me and grandmother to my children. I recall many visits to their home on Strood. Cam, Jer and I would often walk to their home to hang out. She would hem, fix clothing and sew duvet covers. My most precious memory is years ago when Jer called Auntie Helen, concerned as I was quite sick and felt that I needed to get to the hospital; Helen came to the rescue. She was this tender, caring and gentle spirit. You have been a blessing to my family. I will truly miss my dear sister-in-law, Helen. May you rest in peace. - Posted by: Beverly Dyck (Sister-in-law to Helen) on: Aug 20, 2014
