(EDITH) LOUISE GUARINO
Date of Passing: Aug 14, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory(EDITH) LOUISE GUARINO It is with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of (Edith) Louise Guarino on August 14, 2014. Louise was an amazing, multi-talented woman that excelled at everything that she did. This included ballroom dancing and competitions, designing and making elaborate costumes, working with the deaf, being extras in movies, cooking to rival any chef, and countless crafts. Louise was predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Dorothy Peterson. She will be mourned by her brother Tim (Pat) Peterson of Winnipeg, sister Vera (John) Wren of Peterborough and Judith Wren of Winnipeg, nephews Christopher (Maria) Wren of Pasadena, CA, and Michael (Colleen) Wren of Victoria, BC and cousins Maureen (Tim) Winters of Gladstone, Donald (Daphne) Johnson, Ken (Elaine) Johnson and Alice Gregor of Sook, BC. Louise also leaves behind to mourn her ex-husband Charlie, Candy N, Penny M, Linda P, Chantelle, Virginia and Jack, Linda and Harry and Linda B, just to name a few. Louise considered Joe Bruce-Guarino and Ashley Loschiavo her unofficial son and daughter and loved them dearly. A life celebration will be announced at a later date and donations may be made to the Scleroderma Association of Manitoba. VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 204-284-7500

A special lady that I have not seen since she became unable to travel. She was sent, I am sure, to teach us how to go through life and keep going without complaining despite having chronic illness. I met her through her ex-husband, Charlie, when she returned to what she knew for support, comfort and care and would spend all her time in the later several years of her life. We had the common bond of chronic illness and yet, we laughed hard at life and the many stories she would tell with her dry sense of humour. I did not know her in her prime.....but was glad to have known her. Blessings to her ex-husband.....he was an angel for taking her in and caring for her during this very difficult and painful time. Sending God richest blessings and comfort to her sister and family members. Blessings, Marilyn Erhart - Posted by: Marilyn Erhart (friend) on: Sep 19, 2014

I was probably the newest friend of Louise so I don't have a lot of memories to share. I do know she was a great cook as there were several of us who would gather at Charlie's many, many weekends for those years for an evening of supper and games. I learned to play Train Dominoes with them and it quickly became a favourite of mine. Or sometimes we'd watch a few boxing matches. I really wish I had her recipe for turkey pot pie. I was never a fan of pot pies but hers was so good I went back for seconds. I was fortunate to see Louise just hours before her passing. She looked beautiful and at peace. Rest in peace now. - Posted by: Sandi Miller (Friend ) on: Sep 15, 2014
