• It was the wonderful teaching that Mrs Staub was famous for that my son finally learned how to read. Don't know what she did but after. 4 years of struggles he was reading full length novels by the end of his year with her!! She was a wonderful loving person. • For many years Kathy was part of a group of six or eight of us who golfed at Rossmere. I often was in a group. just behind hers and we would laugh about knowing it was Kathy teeing off because her driver made a very distinct pinging sound. She was so proud of those clubs because they were given to her by one of her students. The last two years Kathy golfed were a bit of a struggle for her, but she pushed through as best she could. I know something about Parkinson's as my mother had it. Kathy would ask me about things that happened to my mother and we would compare notes, as much as we could. • We lived in Flin Flon at the same time as Kathy's family. Hadn't seen her for several years . Would be pleased to receive info on her funeral, and to meet her family. • I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Kathy at Maple Leaf for several years. She was truly a "lady".... kind, always pleasant, well dressed, with a heart of gold. Her family were very important to her and she made that quite clear. I know you will miss her terribly.
