PRIMROSE (PEGGY) TURNER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mum and Nana at the age of 82. Peggy passed away peacefully at the Seven Oaks Hospital with her two daughters by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Ken, her son Doug, and her brother Colin. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Carol Turner (Doug) and Julie Clarke (Michael); daughter-in-law Kelly Turner; grandchildren James (Amanda), Jocelyn (Aleksandar), Dale (Samantha), and Ainsley (Raphael), as well as her three great-grandchildren Emersyn, Alexandra, and Haleigh. Mum was especially close to her grandchildren and together with Dad spent many happy weekends taking them on adventures and hosting them for sleepovers. Mum was born in Braintree, England on May 20, 1932. Mum and Dad immigrated to Canada in 1975. Mum was a manager with Beaver Foods in Winnipeg until her retirement in 1986 when she and Dad moved to Stonewall. Mum was very close to her only sister Pat, who still lives in England. Peggy and Pat would often travel between Canada and England to visit each other and especially loved to go on cruises together. Mum was an avid gardener and was very proud of her English Garden where once a year she would host a garden party for the seniors from Stonewall's Rosewood Lodge. Mum and Dad's family included many dogs over their lifetimes, but none was as special to Mum as her last dog, Pip. After Dad's passing Pip was Mum's treasured companion. Our family would like to thank the staff at Betel Care Home in Selkirk for their care and kindness towards mum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winnipeg Pet Rescue or the Alzheimer Society of Canada. A funeral service will be held at the Anglican Church, 435 1st Avenue N, Stonewall, MB on Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 a.m. A private burial has already taken place.
