ELIZABETH SWEETLAND (FLOREN)
Date of Passing: Sep 17, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH SWEETLAND (nee FLOREN) The family sadly announces the passing of Elizabeth (Bess) on September 17, 2014 at the age of 88. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Floren, her son Warren in 1988, son James (Jimmy) in 1953 and two brothers John and Doug Floren. She is survived by her husband and soul mate Stan of 67 years, her daughters Diane Mann (Larry) and Sharon Snowdon (Glenn), grandchildren Ashlee (Scott), Michael (Victoria), Amber (Dane) and Dillon (Cassidy), along with her sisters-in-law Evelyn and Donna Floren and many nieces and nephews. Mom was a long-time resident of East Kildonan who enjoyed her home, neighbours, long-time friends and community very much. We will remember a kind, young-at-heart soul who adored her family and cared deeply for others. Mom shared a special bond with each of her grandchildren and has left them with so many great memories to cherish. Mom and Dad were fortunate to enjoy 29 years of retirement together. Although they enjoyed many trips, Mom's favourite times were the summers spent at Victoria Beach and in the early years Keewatin Beach, Ontario. Having fun with family and friends and sharing special occasions meant the world to her. She sat in the director's chair and made it all happen. In respect of Mom's wishes, no formal service will be held. Cremation has taken place and a private family farewell will be held. Thank you to the staff at 3NW Concordia Hospital and Dr. Darcy Johnson for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. VOYAGE FUNERAL CHAPEL

To Stan, Diane, Saron and families. We were very sorry to read of Bess's passing. Our visits over the past 30 plus years were always filled with great conversations and light hearted joking back and forth. The Christmas Day visits will always be a special memory for us. Bess's will always be in our hearts and memories, she always treated us as if we were family. Our thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time. - Posted by: Dale and Maureen McMurray (Friend) on: Sep 23, 2014

Dear Stan, Sharon, Diane and family, I have you all close to my heart and in my prayers. If I could be there, you know I would have big hugs for you all. I have always enjoyed my visits with Beth and all the gatherings we have each and every time I come to Winnipeg. The effort to include me into your family has always made me feel welcomed and loved. Thank-you for this. I will miss Beth. May she rest in peace and may you all be comforted in this sad time.
