ARVELLE DEBORAH JONES SOMERS December 13, 1982 September 18, 2014 It is with great sadness and sorrow to announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter-in-law and sister. Arvelle will be greatly missed by her loving husband Jason and their son Chad, along with sons Blaze, Donovan and Dustin, daughter Kristen and grandchildren Demerick and Tinleigh. Arvelle will be greatly missed by her mother-in-law Virginia with whom she loved with her all heart. Virginia didn't think of her as a daughter-in-law but as a daughter she loves. She leaves her brother-in-law Patrick (Brittany), father Richard Kennedy Sr., her brothers Christopher and Clint who spent time with her during her illness and Richard Jr. (Devana) and sisters Vanessa, Mona, Samantha, and Miranda, along with many nieces and nephews- too many to mention. Lynn and Yvonne Moneyas, Charlie and Corrina who are her close friends and family, as well as John (Marge), Clarence (Sandra), Ruby and Vera. After years of raising her son Chad, she went back to school to complete her high school. Arvelle loved to bake and she had a keen eye for doing craftwork. She had a big heart and was always willing to help those in need. We will miss her laughter and her sense of humour. Arvelle was predeceased by her mother Deborah Kennedy, her grandparents, her father-in-law Donald Somers and Granny Dora who she spent many visits with listening to her stories. It's been a hard and painful journey of five months and 12 days battling against cancer. She faced it head on with courage. Viewing and Wake Service will be held Thursday, September 25 from 7:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy.

  • Arvelle you were a good sister-in-law and auntie. Jaxson, Patrick and I will miss you. We will forever cherish the memories we have of you. I'm happy I was able to be a part of your wedding. Thanks for including me even though we had just met. It was an amazing day. I remember the time Pat and I let you and Jay take Jaxson home to Hallow Water for the night just to take care of him and spend time with him when he was just a newborn. I knew you would take good care of him so I was fine with it. I will let Jaxson know that he had an awesome auntie who loved him. You will remain in our hearts forever. Rest In Peace Arvelle Somers. - Posted by: brittany (sister-in-law) on: Sep 24, 2014
