During the summers, their cottage at LacLu, Ontario was a favorite place to entertain family and friends. They also enjoyed many trips together. Emotions couldn't not be held when reading about her passing! I was at their place, for 6 months, while participating at the MCC International visiting program. Peter Mierau, had been a colleague of my grandpa, medical doctor as he was, some time in Russia. They were the ones to indicate the family to me when applying to stay in Canada! I always have good memories of the whole family! That is what life is about, one comes and goes, but certainly we leave a mark! Tante Mierau, certainly left a positive one! TO all of us, I am sure!
