Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERTRUDE (GERTIE) SKINNER October 28, 1920 September 17, 2014 Peacefully on September 17, 2014, Gertie went to that big casino in the sky. Left to cherish her memory are her six children and one step-son, Harry (Jacky), Bubbles (Tony), John, Graham, Jean, Janet and step son Reg, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gertie was the last surviving of 13 siblings. Her life career was as a health care aide working at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home where she worked until she retired. She also worked with We Care, where she was a home support worker. Gertie was an avid bingo player and spent many an eve at bingo halls where she made many friends. Gertie loved to go the casino and her highlight was the black jack table. Special thank you to all the staff at Parkview Place Care Centre and Seven Oaks Hospital for all their care and support. A celebration of Gertie's life will be held Friday, September 26th at 2:00 p.m. in the reception area of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy.
