MARIE (aka MIKA) TIESSEN (nee REMPEL) Peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2014, Marie Tiessen passed away during her sleep at the age of 79 years, ending her courageous fight with cancer. Marie is survived by her two children Bernie Tiessen and Marlene, son-in-law Jim Keil, and two grandchildren Ryan and Sarah. She also leaves to mourn her brother Henry Rempel, sister-in-law, Marianne, nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends. Marie was predeceased by her parents and her sister Anna Rempel (1995). Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road. Viewing will be prior to the service. The family sincerely thanks the staff at Concordia Hospital and Donwood Manor Personal Care Home for their care and kindness, making her last days comfortable.
