Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • Harold, Denis, Joanne & Carole, our deepest sympathies in the loss of your dear wife and mother. May you find comfort in the memories and cherish the family traditions she has left with you. Roger and I will always remember the good times we had with Bea and Harold. Camping weekends at Twin Beaches and later on at their homes in OakPoint. Bea loved nothing more than receiving family and friends into her home, except maybe sharing the fruit of her beautiful vegetable gardens or walking you through her gorgeous flower beds. Our kids will always remember Ma tante Beatrice taking them to the garden and pulling up a potato plant and low and behold, potatoes came out of the ground! Weren't potatoes suppose to come from Safeway? Then she surprised them with peanut plants! Roger enjoyed many weekends fishing and hunting with Harold while Bea shared her culinary talents with me. She taught me how to make perogies with her "Hunky Bill's Perogy Maker" and how to make rabbit stew, to taste like chicken (so the kids would not know that any bunnies had gone missing in this process)! She loved to share the excitement created when her little dog "Sweetheart" had a litter of puppies. She did not tire in watching the kids play and run after those puppies all weekend. Bea also had a great love of nature. Bird houses and feeders adorned her yard wherever she lived. So next time you see a bird come close to you and sing a sweet song, let it be a reminder that she is close by watching over you and giving you strength to carry on without her. Bea had the patience of an angel and now she is among them in heaven. Rest in Peace Beatrice. We will always love you. - Posted by: Roger & Florence Rochon (Brother and sister-in-law) on: Oct 24, 2014

  • I have fond childhood memories of Ma tante BĂ©atrice. I spent many weekends in her home in the city and visiting in Oak Point. Her kitchen was always filled with wonderful smells and tasty home-baked treats. She was a warm, caring woman who spoke from the heart and never judged. She had an easy way about her and loved to laugh. She was the type of person that we all hoped we would one day have as our own teacher. The many students whose lives she touched were fortunate to have been cared for by her. My thoughts are with you Uncle, Dennis, Joanne and Carole. - Posted by: Nicole Beaudet (Niece) on: Oct 24, 2014

  • Harold, Denis, Joanne and Carole - Beatrice taught you how to love with your whole heart, because that's how she loved you - your whole life. You'll never forget your mother's face, the sound of her voice, the gentleness of her touch....they let you know you were loved. You'll never forget the stories she told, the traditions she handed down... they let you know who you are. You'll never forget the lessons she taught, the things she stood for......they are her gift and your legacy. You'll never forget, and you will always know that you honour her every day in how you live and who you are. And never, ever forget her very special gift.....that lovely last smile, to bring you comfort & peace when you most needed it!!!! She was indeed a very beautiful human being and I will forever miss her! May the memory of such a beautiful soul help you find strength and know peace.
