MARY UNGER REGEHR We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mary at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister and four brothers, and is survived by one brother, Herman. Mary grew up in Leamington, Ontario, came to Winnipeg for her college education, and stayed to marry and raise their four children. Mary trained as a counselor at the Interfaith Pastoral Institute and Health Sciences Centre and earned a Master's degree at the University of Manitoba. She became a valued and trusted therapist without losing sight of the primary obligation of being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mary is mourned by her husband of 65 years, John, by her children Rennie (Jenny), Lorie Bolton (Murray), Mark, and Jenny Cartman (Marty), by nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, and the funeral service will be held at the McIvor Avenue Mennonite Brethren church on Wednesday, October 29, at 2:30 p.m., with viewing prior to the service.

Story of My Life by One Direction Written in these walls are the stories that I can't explain I leave my heart open but it stays right here empty for days She told me in the morning She don't feel the same about us in her bones it seems to me that when I die These words will be written on my stone And I'll be gone, gone tonight The ground beneath my feet is open wide The way that I been holding on too tight With nothing in Between The Story of my life, I take her home I drive all night to keep her warm and time Is frozen ( the story of, the story of, the story of) The story of my life, I give her hope I spend her love until she's broke inside The story of my life ( the story of, the story of) Written on these walls are the colors that I can't change Leave my heart open But it stays right here in its cage I know that in the morning now I see us in the light upon a hill Although I am broken, my heart is untamed, still And I'll I've gone, gone tonight The fire beneath my feet is burning bright The way that I've been holding on so tight With nothing in between The story of my life, I'll take her home I drive all nigh to keep her warm and time Is frozen ( the story of, the story of) The story of my life, I give her hope I spend her love until she's broke inside The story of my life ( the story of, the story of)And I've been waiting for this time to come around but, Baby, running after you is like chasing the clouds The Story of my life I take her home I drive all night To keep her warm and time Is frozen The Story of my life, I give her hope ( give her hope) I spend her love until she's frozen inside The story of my life ( the story of, the story of ) The Story of my life. - Posted by: Kaelyn Regehr (Grand-daughter) on: May 03, 2018

Mary, I could write a story about how I feel about her however I will simply say, she loved me through my ugly times and never did I feel judged. Mary taught me many things with her no nonsense teachings loving me with strength and direction. She embraced me as one of her students/friend and I her. Her friendship and love will be an enormous void in my life my hope is to make her proud by living the many lessons she taught me. Thank you Mary and John for your love. In this day and age, the world could certainly use a lot more people like Mary. I have been blessed to have known Mary, and there will always be a warm spot in my heart where I keep my memories of her. - Posted by: Susan Overbeeke (friend) on: Oct 27, 2014

Mary and I have been close friends since 1957 -- she was like the sister I never had by birth. Even though we were not able to get together anymore, we were able to "visit" by email. I feel a profound loss, I will miss her greatly. - Posted by: Verlyn (Friend) on: Oct 27, 2014
