JOHN REMPEL John Rempel, father of Ed (Janet), Joyce (Robert) and Christine (Frank) and grandfather of nine wonderful grandchildren; went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on November 5, 2014 at Donwood Personal Care Home, just seven months after his beloved Frieda. It was unexpected in our timing, but perfect in God's timing. We thank the Lord for the Godly example our father was to us throughout his lifetime. In the last years he clung to the verses from Proverbs 3:5,6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths." Funeral will take place at Portage Ave. Church, 1420 Portage Ave. at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Viewing will be prior to the service. A donation may be made to Union Gospel Mission. Friends Funeral Service, 204-339-5555

Hi Dad, Just wanted to say I am thinking of you often and still really miss you. So many things remind me of you - like ketchup- which you used to boost the flavour of everything, seeing an antique tractor, driving smooth American highways, visiting with Pat at Donwood who also still misses you, working with cameras and photos, singing beautiful hymns and so much more. It would be great to tell you what our children are up to - I am sure you would have an opinion about it all. We would laugh about so many things and probably share a tear or two. I look forward to seeing you and mom again someday - when we get to heaven and live with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as you already are doing. You are so blessed to have your faith made sight already. I love you! Christine - Posted by: Christine Loewen (daughter) on: Feb 09, 2019

We are so sorry to hear that your dad passed away. Your dad was such a kind person and we knew that he loved his family and his Lord very much. It's comforting to know that he is now in Glory along with your mom. Love and prayers, Tina & Eleonore Kliewer - Posted by: Tina & Eleonore Kliewer (Cousins) on: Nov 09, 2014

We are sad to hear of your father's passing. We want you to know how much we loved your Dad. We have such fond memories of him especially coming to visit us in Wheaton, Ilinois. We sure laughed a lot with your folks. We remember how fascinated your Dad was with the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago and how much he talked with our 3 kids. Again the memories we had with him were great. Your Dad was always content and easy going. We loved visiting your Dad and Mom on the farm. We also know that he loved the Lord and is there with Him and your Mom in heaven. Much love from Ken and Shirley Keeler. - Posted by: Ken and Shirley Keeler (Cousin) on: Nov 08, 2014
