JOANNE LOU (MAUREEN) RENVILLE Sadly our family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on November 4, 2014. Maureen was born November 16, 1936 in Ponteix, SK. She lived in North Vancouver, BC, San Diego, CA and Bremerton, WA before coming to Winnipeg to be with her daughter Dianne; grandsons Bryan (Tara) and Michael (Tracy); granddaughter Kathryn (Robbie), and great-grandchildren Brett, Tootoo and Masha-May. She also leaves behind daughter Coreen (Jerry) and son-in-law Wayne (daughter Dianne deceased), grandchildren Nathan and Jennifer; sisters Donna and Carol, and brother Ron, along with numerous nieces and nephews: Susan, Julie, Jennifer, Jeff, Alyssa, Cherie, Michelle, Ronnie, and cousin Joann de Repentigny. The family wishes to extend a thank-you to the home care program, especially the caregivers and coordinators. Also a special thanks to Allison and her daughter Serena who became a part of Maureen's life in the recent months. A private family service will be held at a later date in North Vancouver, BC. Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I was at Maureen's front door when the coordinator called me with the sad news. I've enjoyed being Maureen's Home Care worker this past year, getting to know her and learning from her vast cooking experience. She was a lovely lady with a sparkle in her eye. There were also some sad times for her. I will miss our weekly visits and enjoyed getting to know her friends and family as well. Please accept my sincere condolences. - Posted by: Barb (Home Care Worker) on: Nov 17, 2014

  • I will truly miss Maureen's down-to-earth approach and practical advice. I only regret that I was not more accessible during the last few months of her life. May she rest in final peace. - Posted by: Elizabeth Moya (Friend and former co-worker) on: Nov 13, 2014

  • Rest in peace cousin Maureen. I will miss our phone chats and writing letters to you. You also kept me updated on family events. Your past was a difficult journey with Dianne's illness and recent passing. I will think of you often. - Posted by: Jo-Ann de Repentigny (Cousin) on: Nov 12, 2014
