Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH (LEO) ALCIDE BOIVIN August 30, 1937 - November 6, 2014 It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family announces the passing of our loved one, Leo. Leo is survived by his loving wife Lena of 51 years. He is also survived by his loving sons, Roger (Vanessa) and Kevin. Also missing him are his granddaughters, Amanda and Ashley, grandsons, Shane, Garrett and Jordan and great-granddaughter Zoe, sister Janine, sister-in-law Leita, nieces, nephews and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Mary, brother George and sister Annette. Leo was born in Ross, Manitoba at home. He was last employed as a furniture assembler with GIII Ltd, for 24 years. In his younger years Leo loved riding his horse named "Betsy". He also loved to play bingo but his greatest joy was his grandchildren and great-grandchild. He was a huge fan of his grandchildren playing hockey, baseball and softball and attending all their school activities. He was always happy to hear about their daily lives and was very proud of them. He was lovingly known as "Gramps" and "Poppa". A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral home, 220 Hespeler Ave., with interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leo's memory can be made to a charity of your choice. To My Family I go from you gently for it is my time To take the next step In this journey of mine. Don't grieve for me long I've not left you alone For I will be with you In the love we have known. That love is forever And someday when it is time You will join me again On this journey of mine.

JOSEPH (LEO) ALCIDE BOIVIN On Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Leo passed away at the age of 77. The service will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. A longer obituary will follow.

I'm so so sorry for your loss Lena, Roger and Kevin, Leo will be missed by all who knew him, he was just that type of guy. Growing up accross the street from you guys will always remain a fond memory I cherish and just know you're in my thoughts. I will not be there but I will be thinking of all of you. Lena, Roger & Kevin, I was very surprised to read of Leo's passing. I can remember the fun we had as neighbors...I wish I could be there to express my sympathies in person but unfortunately I will not be able to.
