• I've known Don since I was 18 years old and we shared a room in a boarding house in Winnipeg. Kept in touch off and on over the years. I hadn't seen or spoke to Don in about 20 years. A few days ago I was driving past Deacons Corner and I thought maybe it was about time I gave Don a call. I didn't have his phone number so I googled his name and was shocked when Dons obituary came up. Many times over the last 20 years I thought about calling Don and now I regret that I didn't. I was almost 2 years late. I feel so sad for your loss Joyce of Don and I also saw the the obituary for your son. I hope you are doing well. It would be nice to chat with you sometime. • SORRY TO HEAR OF DON'S PASSING. OUR FAMILY SPENT MANY YEARS ON LEIGHTON AVE AND DON'S FAMILY LIVED DOWN THE STREET WE SPENT A LOT OF TIME TOGETHER. THERE WAS THE BEATTIES, THE PHEILS, THE CHUDZYS, THE KJEARS, THE BARONS, ETC. MY FONDEST MEMORY WAS SUNDAY NIGHT HIDE AND SEEK IN THE SUMMERS. WE WOULD GATHER AT THE BEATTIES CHIMNEY AND AS MANY AS 20 KIDS WOULD SHOW UP AND PLAY UNTIL THE STREET LITES CAME ON. GREAT TIMES. AS WE GREW OLDER WE STAYED IN TOUCH THROUGH THE CAN-PRO BUSINESS AS WE ALL NEEDED AIR CONDITIONERS AND FURNACES AND DON GAVE US GREAT DEALS MY CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY.
