RENE ST. LAURENT It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Rene St-Laurent on Monday, September 15, 2014, at the Villa Youville at the age of 72, beloved husband of Rolande (nee Vandal) of Ste-Anne. He was predeceased by his father Eric St. Laurent (1958), his dad Alphonse Duhamel (1988), his mother Thérèse Duhamel (nee St. Jean) (1989) and his brother Denis (2011). Besides his beloved wife Rolande he leaves to cherish his memory: his children Rachelle (Noël), Lise (Hubert) and Gerald. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Eric, Patrick, Alain, Josée, Miguel and Stephane. He also leaves his only daughter-in-law Renée, his three brothers Marcel (Eva), Michel (Florence) and André as well as his in-laws, many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Dad's greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. It goes without saying that his wife, children and grandchildren meant the world to him. He was a hard working, dedicated and well respected truck driver for over 45 years. His love of music, dancing, camping, fishing and snowmobiling has created memories to last a life time for all who loved him. The family thanks Sister Rioux, Sister Vermette and Dr. P. de Moissiac. Also a sincere thanks to the unit B staff at the Villa Youville for their loving care of our dad, with special thanks to Roland Sarrasin. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church. PowerPoint presentation will commence at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba. Rest in peace Dad. Your work is done you did so well. We will miss you. Arrangements by: BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-204-346-1030 OR 1-888-454-1030

He was a really good man a friend. He was always happy to have company over for a bit to eat and as well spending the evening playing cards. He will be missed. - Posted by: Emile Courcelles (Brother in law) on: Nov 25, 2014
