ROSE WESELAK July 28, 1923 - November 22, 2014 It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother Rose. She left with her children at her side. Rose was the seventh of 12 children born to Roman and Mary Hrynko on a homestead near Oakburn, MB where life was very hard growing up. One of Mom's greater disappointments was not being able to continue her education past grade five due to working on the farm at home. She was predeceased by her husband William Weselak with whom she gave birth to Lawrence (Joy), Joyce (Bill Shaw), David (Maryanne) and Debbie (Terry Hartle), and was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 14 great and four great-great-grandchildren, all of whom gave her great joy and pleasure. Aside from the farm and at home, Mom worked at Moore's Restaurant, the CharBar at Eaton's and the Sunset Lodge Old Folks Home. Mom had a great sense of humour and the most amazing memory, she always knew every loved one's birthdate. Her favourite pastimes were bingo, knitting, quilting and word-search puzzles. Following Mom's wishes we will be celebrating her life with a small, family only service. We are extremely thankful for the tremendous care and support received by the Palliative Home Care and CancerCare staff.
