Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySADIE CROCKATT It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Sadie Crockatt at the age of 90, on November 28, 2014 at the Stonewall and District Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Bill Crockatt in 2013, her eldest daughter Anne in 2001, her parents Walter and Katie, her sister Doris Oliver, her brother John Manchester. Left to cherish her memory is her brother Russell Manchester and her children, Russ (Barb), Barb (Verne), Ken (Virginia), Donna (Peter), Wendy (Dave) and Cliff (son-in-law). Grandchildren, Jamie (Darren), Deric, Christine (Paul), Michael, Colin (Pam), Kyle (Laurence), Devin, Jennifer, and Alanna. Great-grandchildren Ethan, April, and Mila. Sadie was born on September 28, 1924 in Warren, the youngest of four children. She married Bill in 1945 and they farmed in Argyle where they raised their six children. In 1996 they moved their family home into Stonewall. Sadie was very active and community minded. She tirelessly gave her time and energy to her family, friends and the community. She spent several decades volunteering her time with the Argyle United Church, Argyle 4-H Club, Argyle Hall Board, and Argyle Curling Club. Over the years she made many friends through card games, cribbage and whist tournaments, and floor shuffling in Argyle. She cherished her many acquaintances and friendships. She embraced and graciously accepted whatever life had to offer. Mom was a very caring and positive person who loved to be surrounded by friends and relatives. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Stonewall Hospital and the Home Care Workers at the Lions Manor for their great care. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Home in Stonewall. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall, MB 204-467-2525

We were sorry to hear about Aunt Sadie. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was so much a part of the family. They say she is in a better place, but all I can say is one day at a time. I owe my great friendship with Donna and Peter to Sadie. After being neighbors in Orleans for 6 months, Sadie and I were in the yard chatting then she says, have you met my daughter Donna when I said no, she asked Donna to step outside, that is how our friendship started and grew, this was almost 30 years ago.
