ROBERT WOOD April 6, 1920 - December 29, 2014 Peacefully passed away at Victoria Hospital at the age of 94. He will be deeply missed by his son Stan (Susan), daughter Sandy (Paul), grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sister Mary Wetton and sister-in-law Audrey Wood. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret, his great grandsons Jessie and Zac, his long time companion Fran Harmer, his sister Alice, and brothers Ralph, Ted, Tom, Bud and Bert. Dad worked at Century Motors in Winnipeg for many years before moving to Pinawa in 1963 to work at A.E.C.L. The next move was to Lac du Bonnet where he lived until moving back to Winnipeg in 2004. Dad travelled for many years before making Alamo, Texas, his winter home. He enjoyed 25 years there where his favourite things to do were go dancing (everyone who knew Dad knew how he loved to dance), going over to Mexico and Happy Hour with friends. He spent the last two years at Seine River Retirement Residence where his brother Bert also lived. He was very happy to have spent that time with Bert and missed him after his passing this past June. Our family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Seine River and Victoria Hospital for the care given to our father. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. We love you Dad (Papa Bob).
