When we first moved to Canada a relative introduced my mom, brother and I to Joe who in turn introduced us to his wife Lucille. We would go over to their place on Bannatyne and spend many happy hours. I really appreciated Lucille and her husband Joe, they were there in our lives when we knew very few people having newly arrived in Wpg. from England. I was shocked to hear of Lucille's passing, my heartfelt condolences to Sandra and Richard. I know your mother will be sorely missed not only by you, but by the many persons lives she touched. May God sustain you through this time of bereavement and know that I'll be praying for you (Sandra and Richard). RIP Lucille. - Posted by: Patricia Evans (Family Friend) on: Jan 18, 2015

Auntie Meena was a gift from GOD. When we arrived in Canada Uncle Joe and Auntie Meena was the first family we knew. We spent long weekends together and had such precious childhood memories for myself and family.Their daughter Sandra was my only cousin in Canada until pick- o- pop was born ( Richard ). Oh my goodness what fun we had. My aunt and uncle were angels sent to my family. We were so privileged to have them, Uncle Joe, Auntie Meena,Sandra and Richard in this life time. People are so busy caught up with " life " sometimes all it takes is a phone call....just to say " hello, how are you keeping ".This passing has been a reminder for me to do that. Angels are in our lives and my loving Auntie was and still is in mine.Thank You Auntie Meena for sharing your life and family with me and my family The Gobins. My mom (Carmen) and Auntie Meena were childhood friends since in Guyana, until she went to England and married the love of her life, Uncle joe, then they found each other again in Canada and they held on to each other FOREVER. - Posted by: Mrs Pamela Carroll( Gobin) (Niece ) on: Jan 17, 2015
