MARY REED It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Mary Reed on January 18, 2015. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Complete obituary to follow in Saturday's edition. 204-586-8044

It was an honor and delight to get to know Mary and if even for just a short time. She would always make me chuckle about her lifetime stories and her positive outlook on life. We seemed to have similar life stories but she taught me to always grab the good out of life and leave the garbage in the past. Even with all the health issues, Mary still persevered and that lovely bright and beautiful smile shone through all the pain she suffered (often in silence). My condolences to her loving family! I know she loved you all very dearly. I have been missing her a lot! Her numerous notes on the coffee table were her cute way of exercising her memory! Now we remember YOU, Mary! Rest in Peace! Very sad to hear of Mary's passing. Thought she would live forever. Have many, many great memories of her. When I think of them, they bring a smile. She was unique, truly one of a kind. So sad to hear of the passing of Mary. So witty, so kind, so thoughtful and so very proud...right into her 90s. I will especially remember her laugh. I will make sure to plant the famous "Mary Reed" lily in my garden this spring in her memory.
