JOYCE GRAHAM (née PARK) Sadly we have lost our beautiful angel. Joyce Graham has officially received her wings. Joyce passed on February 7, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was born in Montreal March 15, 1925, to Mary and Joseph Park. Younger brother Stu and Joyce grew up in Fort Rouge on Weatherdon Avenue. She attended Kelvin High School where she was an honour student. Mom met a handsome Irishman and they married on November 19, 1954. They raised their three children in East Kildonan. She was deeply proud of and dedicated to her family. She had a keen interest in all of their activities. She never said no to an invitation. Joyce worked for the City of Winnipeg Health Department for 37 years and retired as the department administrator. There to greet her as she crossed was her husband Robert Dilworth "Dil" Graham, and her parents Mary and Joseph Park and brother Gordon Stuart Park. Joyce leaves behind her daughter Valerie (Grant) Rerie and their children, Angela (Lyle) Gonczy, Jeffrey( Kendra) Rerie, Brandon (Melanie) Rerie and Jessica Barsky. Her son Dr. Roger (Lorraine) Graham and their children Reid and his fiancée Sydnie Payne, Evan, Bryn and Brooke. Her son Dr. Rodney (Cindy) Graham and their children Sterling, Tegan, Corbin and Chanel. Seven great-grandchildren, Devyn, Dylan and Brady Cusson, Payton and Maksym Rerie and Lyric and Nova Rerie. One great-great-grandson Noah Cusson. Joyce's second home was Hawaii where she hit the beach at least thirty times. She also loved colour so we encourage all to wear colourful attire to see Joyce off. The family would like to thank Dr. Heather Domke for Mom's care over the years. Thank you also to Dr. Malek Kass for the extra time he afforded her. Thanks as well to Homecare and Meals on Wheels for making it possible for mom to remain in her home as that was her wish. Special thanks to "the Ryan's" and Valerie Moskal for being wonderful neighbours. Funeral service will be held on February 20, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons. Mom was a very charitable person. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to RMTC, Lord Selkirk Robert Fraser Memorial Pipe Band or a charity of your choice. • I remember Joyce's heart was always open, her stove always cooking, and her sewing machine on till the wee hours of the night. Joyce & Dil took me on many camping trips with their kids and I had sleep overs many times over the years. Many fond memories of all the fun I always had with them growing up. I never forgot that special times and will always cherish the memories. Your mom was a very special lady, as you know. And Undoubtedly she has her angel wings. I'm very sorry I can't make the funeral as I'm in Arizona for the winter. But sending love to you all. - Posted by: Marnie Houston (Friend if the Graham kids) on: Feb 14, 2015

  • Great Gramma is now at peace and will be missed dearly by all of us. Each summer we will celebrate her memory by putting out a chair for her in the sunshine at the cottage and share the day with her and her great-grandchildren Payton and Maksym watching birds and eating her favourite chocolate fruits.
